I installed the plugin for VUM into the vCO Configuration. The plugin shows up in the VCO Client but I'm unable to browse inventory. Any assistance or advice on configuring this would be appreciated.
I think VUM plug-in configuration is related to vCenter Plug-in's one. Have you configured your vCenter plug-in? If not please do it and be sure you are successfully browsing your vCenter inventory.
Additional it would be very beneficial for us to know:
- what version of vCO you are using and what deployment it is?
- what version of vCnetern plug-in do you have installed and towards what version of vCenter you are trying to use it?
- what version of VUM plug-in do you have installed?
thanks,
alex
VUM plugin retrieves VUM server from vCenter Server. It takes from vCenter plugin configuration which vCenter servers to query (this does not happen automatically - you still have to go in configurator and apply the configuration). 'unavailable' means that VUM plugin can not establish connection with VUM server. Can you check in orchestrator's server.log for some clue what may be the problem?
When adding vCenter Server's make sure that you provide values for username/password fields.
Those are not mandatory for vCenter plugin itself but are used from VUM plugin.
