I don't have an old 7.2 instance to test, but you should be able to by using the VAMI and maybe OVF properties to update the hostname and IP.

Are you talking about the same steps documented in this article:

Possibly although not entirely sure. Changing hostnames and IP addresses is generally not a good idea and should be avoided at all costs. You can deploy a vRO 7.2 appliance yourself and attempt to change those values. In 7.5, both are configurable in the VAMI.

Will this change doesnt cause any issues to certificates ?

No, of course it will. You'll have to regenerate certificates because the name won't match any longer. You'll then have to reestablish chain of trust with anything that talks to/from vRO. This is one of the reasons why changing hostnames/IPs isn't desirable. What you may want to do instead (if you're using vRO 7.4 or 7.5) is to deploy a new one and migrate the content over. There is now a wizard for this under the VAMI.

This is what I wanted to confirm and be very sure before we implement .
