Trying to learn vcO - no actions in the workflow

Hi,

first off - i'm a newbie and I'm trying to learn how to create workflows in Orchestrator.

I've had my lab setup (vCenter 5.1 on a windows machine with Orchestrator thrown in). Now, I'm trying to follow this youtube link  Developing Your First VMware vCO Workflow (part 1) - YouTube

but i get stop at the part of adding Action Step because there's no action Smiley Sad

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Let me know what I'm missing.

Also, if you guys have resource I should check out to get my feet wet fast with vCO, throw it in.

Thanks !

You have to hit the enter button in the filter field!

(or start typing the name of the action)

Good luck!

Also have a look at the videos at http://www.vmwarelearning.com/orchestrator

I also noticed there's nothing listed on the Action Tab in the designer. not sure whats up with it.

ok, that is strange. Can you restart your vCO service?

And try to find the Reset plugin button in vCO webbased configuration, to force a reinstallation of the plugins (with all their actions and workflows).

vCO 5.5 default plugins not showing up for details

Cheers,

Joerg

I tried rebooting the vCenter Server (where vCO is also installed) - still the same.

Theres no RESET plugins in 5.1 (I think its only there for 5.5). There is however a Reload plugins which I try as well.
