Setting up Orchestrator db connection - No Schema Found. Please initalize database.

First time to vCenter and Orchestrator.

Am getting No Schema Found. Please initalize database. error when creating connection to db.

I have tried VIM_VCDB which is the default db that installs with vCenter and SQL 2005.

Have tried to create a new db in sql 2005

even reverted and tried postgres with a new db still the same condition.

Is their some hidden command that says "Initalize db" viola.

While sure the docco's point out pre conditions for preping the db but what if you use 2005 express which is installed concurrently with the vCenter install.

Hi,

In order to successfully initialize the database, you also need to initialize the database schema apart from configuring the database. For this, you would need to install the database by doing the same in the vCO configuration page, under database tab. There you would see the install option. Click on that and it would automatically initialize the db schema. If you continue facing the issue, I would request you to share the screen shot of your web config page.
