Setting a default value for a boolean in a vSphere web form. Not working?

I am trying to set a few booleans to default to true but when the form renders in the vSphere web client the box is not checked.  To work around I guess I'll use a yes/no drop down but shouldn't this work?  Am I missing something?

Hmm, which version/build of Web Client is this? I vaguely remember there was a similar bug open for version 5.1 that has been fixed years ago.
