NSX-v DynamicTypes plug-in V2 - Update

Hi,

Is there any particularly procedure to update an already installed and in production "NSX-v DynamicTypes plug-in V2" plugin to the latest version?

Thanks,

D.

I am afraid I did not document this yet.

Re-running the installation process should work if you did not change the plug-in content but I would recommend testing the upgrade on a separate vCO server to make sure there is not a particular issue.

Otherwise importing the package and updating elements with a newer version should update many elements except the DT objects resource file.

If this is the only DT plug-in you run you can import the updated config[date] resource, save it to disk, right click / update resource element on the datatypes "config" resource element.

If not you can just do a diff merge and see what I changed. If this is to have a faster inventory you will notice several types now link to an action for hasChildrenInRelation.

If my answer resolved or helped you, please mark it as Correct or Helpful to award points. Thank you! Visit http://www.vcoteam.info & http://blogs.vmware.com/orchestrator for vCenter Orchestrator tips and tutorials - @vCOTeam on Twitter

Thanks, I will test it.

But, for further releases it will be useful to have a clear update procedure.

Thanks a lot!
