Move vRealize nodes to other datastore

We have 4 nodes for vRealize Operations and 4 nodes for Log Insight at 2 location. They are placed under a resource pool. As far as storage, they are all placed in the same datastore.

The datastore usage is at 89% on one and 95% on other. Other datastores have free space to accommodate some of vRealize nodes I'd like to know can I move them over?  what are the implications?

hello,

  • When you say that you have 4 nodes in the vROPS cluster, do you mean you have master, master replica, data, and collector node?
  • in vRLI do you have one master node and 3 worker nodes?

If yes, then move the data and collector node to separate datastore, master, and master replica node if possible, keep on the same datastore.

for vRLI it's fine, you can move vRLI VMs, all three to different datastores

Regards

Harry

Yes, you can migrate them to another datastore easily.

Can I migrate the nodes in same way as I migrate a normal VM in vCenter? Or there is some other way to do the same.
