Metro Cluster - Best way to set DRS rules based on VM storage location ?

Dear community,

Based on vRO 7.0.1 and vCenter 6.0 U2, we have two sites in an active/active configuration.

Half LUNs are active on one site since the others are on the other side. All hosts connect to all LUNs so if we loose a site, we fail over on the second.

How to automatically reset DRS VM groups based on their disks' location ?

Hi Guys,

I did this by looking at the naming convention of my datastores, then depending on what it was push the vm to an array.

I ended up with two arrays, lets say X and Y. I then refreshed my DRS group  X with VMs from array X and DRS group Y with VMs from group Y. Here is an example:

Pass cluster, vm_group and vms to the Library workflow Add virtual machines to DRS group.
