Hi Seanie,

do you mean configuring vCO without any LDAP or without Microsoft-LDAP?

Without MS-LDAP, please specify which directory service you try (eDirectory or SUN).

In first case: You cannot configure vCO without any LDAP. Page 15, install & config guide for vCO 4.1

Orchestrator requires a working LDAP server on your infrastructure.

Orchestrator supports these directory service types.

  • Windows Server 2003 Active Directory

  • Windows Server 2008 Active Directory

  • Novell eDirectory Server 8.8.3

  • Sun Java Directory Server Version 6.3

Hi,

unfortunatly there is no way to use vCenter Orchestrator without a directory service.

Hi,

You will need ad or ldap for vCenter Orchestrator to work. no exceptions ..
