How to add a hard disk to VM via VRO

hello,

We have deployed VRA 7.0.1 in our computing environment and are having an issue.

We need to be able to add Hard Disks to the VRA created VM's through VRO.

This is a day 2 operation that we need to be done through VRO.

I have searched everywhere for this and can't find anything.

I have tried to do this by adding a disk via the builtin VC workflow but this doesn't sync with the VRA and therefore is problematic because it doesn't get reflected in the reservations of our BGs.

I have also tried to figure it out using the REST API and have not figured out how to do this.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!!

I don't know that either of these help but I have done some work with vRO/vRA to add a disk with a new scsi adapter.

New disk on a new SCSI adapter at request time

New Disk with a SCSI adapter

These don't tie into your reservations/groups but you could do some magic with approvals. After the next vCenter data collection the extra space should be pulled out of standard reservations.

You might find this link a useful example.  It adds two scsi controllers (one for vSSD disks and one for regular) and N disks to each as well as N vnics connected to dvs portgroups.  It is a workflow to create a nested ESX VM for a vLab.
