Common Properties shared between different VMware ...

Are there any searchable properties that are shared by all the different VMware products / appliances? What I am looking to do is to be able to search from the VC:HostSystem or VC:Sdkconnection or VC:VirtualMachine level to find all the infrastructure servers / appliances. I know there are other ways I can approach this but thought I would see if anyone knew any common properties to use as the search criteria.

Right now I am starting with this var vender = vm.summary.config.product.vendor

Anything think of any others please let me know
