Have you done it? What about a ticketing system? Approvals?

Trying to get a handle on what existing work is out there before getting up to my elbows in it.

Yes, it is possible, and yes, at least I have done some integration to CMDBs.

Unfortunately, the CMDB were always self-developments from the customer, so there is no "standard" way.

If the CMDB provides an API, try to use this (via webservice, or by calling local CLI-commands, or executing SSH, or. ...)

For the "bad", you can use the JDBC commands to access the database of the CMDB directly.

The best integration might be to write a Plugin for vCO....

Which CMDB do you have in mind?
