When giving the permissions, you need to log off and log back in again - and we also noticed that permission changes can take a few minutes to take effect.

I am working on deploying a proof of concept myself and I am also missing the Approval Policy tab. I've logged out and in more times than I can remember as every possible user and I've gotten nowhere. Did you ever solve this?
