show properties to users VM

Hi,

Is there a way to show some custom properties to end user in the item details with a IaaS blueprint.

If you want to see properties tab you have to be in the admin group of the business group.

But i have some properties that i populate through a provisionning workflow in VCO and I would like to present them in the item detail. Is there a way to do that ?

Thanks

Hey , If you want to show the properties to End user who does not have privilages to access Properties tab, simplly mark those properties as 'prompt User' but please note: those properites will be editable by user as they are configured e.g. if this configured as DropDown, user can change values.

Hi,

Are you sure ?

For example in my IaaS  blueprint I've added a custom property called "Project Name" (custom.project).

This custom property is mark as "prompt user".

When the VM provisionning is OK, the item inventory doesn't show this property to the end user.

I can only access to this property through the property TAB that a simple end user can't see.

Hey ,

I thought you are intrested in presenting the custom Property while making machine request. to make the user determine the purpose of the machine as a end user is to look at 'Description' Field which is only avaialable to end user by default.
