new problem VRA 7.3: add disk at deploytime --> fail to boot

Hey all,

vRA 7.3 with vCenter Appliance Version 6.5.0 Build 5178943

very odd behavior here.

I have a blueprint with a c:\ (40GB) and d:\ (10GB) drive

i deploy VMs from it using linked cloning. No problems at all, all good.

However if I add a new disk during deploy-time. Lets say F with another 14 GB, then the deployment fails.

And if I check in vCenter, the VM cant boot at initial powerup:

the 3rd disk shows in vCenter under other disks (that seems normal display in vCenter 6.5)

I tried re-ordering the boot order, that does not solve anything

Once I remove this 3rd drive and reset the VM it boots successfully ...

I have not seen this problem in VRA 7.2, but I am not entirely sure if I ever tried exactly that

anyone can reproduce that?

Kalli
