VCAC 6.012 | Internal Error An internal error has occurred. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator. When contacting your system administrator, use this reference: c632d987

I'm getting the error message when logging into the vcac applicance.

Postgres and vcac-server services are running.

Recently installed patches but reverting from snapshot didn't fix the issue.

Are all of the services running on the vCAC Appliance?  Reference the screenshot.

I may have spoke too soon. When I attempt to deploy a blueprint, I'm getting the attached error.

Capture.PNG

I noticed that the iaas service is not started on the VCAC appliance. I did install the IAAS service on a windows machine so that could be the reason.

See the below Catalina.out error from the vcac appliance:

Hey this looks like there is communication error between Appliance and IAAS server.I hope you had checked all ports required for communication open.

are these both servers are in different subnet ? as i could remember vCAC had hard-time communicating with different subnet.

Did you use Service account which is local Admin to the IAAS server and IAAS server services are running properly?

check Restarting vCAC and DEM services and see if this registers IAAS with vCAC appliances.

Hope this could help you nail down the issue!!

Hi

Sorry for the late reply:

The Appliance and IAAS server is on the same subnet. The firewall is disabled on the IAAS server. The only way I was able to fix it was by changing the DNS entry to point away from the Load Balancer and use the "Single leg" method of one appliance, IAAS, DEMMang and DemProxy servers.

It is very hit or miss on getting the services up. When I have to reboot my vAPP stack, I'm pretty much hoping it starts back up. Is there a way to re-esablish via CLI from the appliance to IAAS server?

I am afraid there is no way to run any CLI to re-establish the communication.. but yes this is good point VMWare should think of atleast that saves time to rebuild everything from scratch :smileysilly:

Ah... load balancer. That makes about 1000x more sense. It would have been interesting to see the certificate and LB configuration, as that sounds like a valid architecture.
