Orphaned "Managed" machine (physical) - unable to remove

We are deploying physical servers in vCAC (Using the UCS Manager Endpoint).

The deployment failed and vCAC started to "clean up". In the UCS Manager world vCAC creates a Service Profile based on a Service Profile Template in UCS Manager as part of the Blueprint.

So the actual server is a Service Profile with the name of the configured prefix. Anyway, the cleanup failed.

vCAC removed the bits in UCS Manager, but the actual machine is no listed as missing

You can try to hover over the machine decommission the blade, but that has no effect (neither has a Data Collection).

I have contacted VMware and they gave me some scripts but at the same time they also mention that the fix provided is known to work with Virtual Machines and they don't know if it is working with Physicals so I guess we are on our own.

The script mentioned includes modifying the vCAC SQL database but also the PostgreSQL via a bash script and my knowledge about either of those DB products is limited so I don't want to blindly run some scripts.

The problem with above scenario is that you

a. cannot remove the Endpoint

b. cannot remove the Reservation

c. Re-use the blade for other deployments

Anyone else have an idea maybe ?
