Joining a Provisioned VM to AD Domain

Hello everyone and thanks in advance!

This is more of a communinal question then asking for help...

I just want to know - how do you join a vcac/vRa provisioned machine to your domain(s)?

Do you find that using the VMware Guest Customization route is enough or do you script internally once the VM is up and vcac/vra is done with it?

If you have multiple AD domains you handle, how do you do so from the end user prospective (Request Form) if at all?

Like I said, just a communial quest to see what everyone else is doing

I use a machine building stub workflow in vRO to create a computer account in the correct OU in AD. When the machine is cloned, a guest customization script joins the VM to AD which marries it up with the computer account that was already created.

Although I haven't done it, you should be able to change the customization script used in vRO based on a property you let the user choose.

We deploy windows boxes through vRA using SCCM. As part of the OSD process it will join the machine to the domain.
