I'm trying to move a VM Ubuntu 18, a host server to another.
The export finishes good, but when trying to deploy the OVF on the other host an error is generated
This error is shown when I try to start ubuntu on the new host.
can you give me some recommendation
Thanks in advance
Ubuntu 18 is not supported on vSphere 5.x
VMware Compatibility Guide - Guest/Host Search
It can be a reason.
VMware Remote Console 10 can it be an alternative to move this os?
No, what would that do? It just opens the remote console of a VM. As stated, this OS is not supported on that version.
Ok, i understand, my big question is, so how can I move that vm (ubuntu18) to another host?
If that host is running ESXi 5.0, you don't.
The VMware is Esxi 6.0 and is installed on a huawei rh2288h v3 server
If it is completely separated you can just copy VM files (.vmx, vmdk etc) using for example WinSCP to destination storage which is connected to destination ESXi and then register VM.
