Hello everyone.
Is there any best practices or instructions on how to install vCAC with just jusing vCenter 5.5 SSO?
Thanks in advance..
I believe the procedure is the same as the one with a separate Identity VA. You just need to provide the vc:7444 details in the vcac appliance sso settings page.
Note:VCAC could be configured ONLY with 5.5 Patch 1 (referred to as 5.5b) and not with 5.5 GA and 5.5a earlier releases.
You definitely need to make sure that the clocks on the two VAs are in synch.
Also, this community thread is about the same topic and could be useful: https://communities.vmware.com/thread/469912
However, you might want to postpone a little bit until the vCAC SP1 release (due shortly) because of a few know issues:
- there are some reports with the default system tenant when using VCAC with vCenter 5.5b SSO.
- Having users with more than 20-30 groups as per the discussion in this thread: https://communities.vmware.com/thread/470041
Those issues might not be relevant to you but both of them should be fixed in the upcoming vCAC SP1 release.
