Hello,
I am doing split install of vCAC 5.2 with below details
Web Server : Model Manager web service + Model Manager Data, Admin Portal, Report Portal
vCAC Core Server: Manager Service + Model Manager Web service + DEM Orchestrator
I believe this will not turn out to be Redundant Webserver or HA webserver role!!!
Now when i do DEM Primary install of Orchestrator, and Provided
Manager Service Host name : vCAC Core Server:443
Model Manager Web Service host name : Web Server:443
I am getting below error
Please help me i think i have lost and confused all basic knowledge i had..
Br,
MG
Thanks MD.
Same issue for me. The vCAC Server Service was not started.
It was due to Domain\vcacsvc user did not have Logon as a service right.
I have everything on the same host. default port :443
JS
If you give the Host as your core server for both manager service and moder manager web service does it proceed to the next step?
I had the same problem. I installed the Orchestrator on the vCAC host and the Worker on an other host.
This worked for me.

Chris
Abhilash: I tried giving Core server as the manager service and Web server as Model Manager but error is same & vice versa as well.
My question is : 1) did I unknowingly Redundant /High Available Web server I had created?
2) Does the distribution of roles are correct?
cloerner : I tried installing DEM on completely different Host other then vCAC Server & Web Server but getting same error.
Please help!!!

Hi MG,
I had the same issue and it was the vCAC Server Service hadn't started correctly on the target host.
I have everything on the same host as this is a test config.
Good luck,

Thanks MD,JS,
I also figured out the same issue of Service was not started because of repeatedly uninstall/install of roles .
Removed Service name "VMware vCloud Automation Center service" manually using command
Sc Delete <”VMware vCloud Automation Center Service”>
Installed Manager service again and then DEM and it worked fine.
Thanks all!!
