VMWare Player 15.5.2 (Ubuntu) crashes on running Virtual Machine

Hello all,

I have a Problem with VMWare Player 15.5.2 on my Ubuntu 19.10 PC.

When I start the Virtual Machine it loads for about a half second, displays error for a very short time and the program closes.

I added my logfile to help you helping me.

I would be happy if you can help me.

Regards,

Playlix

The error message says:

Power on failure messages: This host supports AMD-V, but AMD-V is disabled.

AMD-V might be disabled if it has been disabled in the BIOS/firmware settings or the host has not been power-cycled since changing this setting.

(1) Verify that the BIOS/firmware settings enable AMD-V.

(2) Power-cycle the host if this BIOS/firmware setting has been changed.

(3) Power-cycle the host if you have not done so since installing VMware Player.

(4) Update the host's BIOS/firmware to the latest version.

Double-check your host's BIOS/firmware setup to see if AMD-V is enabled there.  If it is already enabled, follow all the other steps above and see if it resolves the problem.
