Removing Bus sharing Mode impact on DATA ?

we have used bus sharing mode for SAN drive sharing with 2 VM servers . because of this we are not able to take VMware backup/snapshot , to achieve   VM backup/snapshot we  need to remove this bus sharing  and mount that drive with one server only . before proceeding for this we Need suggestion/guidance  from VMware team that we will not lose data  residing In Shared drive by doing this. or need to know if any risk is there?

You should be fine so long as you shut down one of the cluster members first, then remove bus sharing. As you've now found, this is a compelling reason not to use it in the first place.

Just one quick question. Is the LUN used as a physical RDM? In this case there's more to do than just changing the sharing mode on the virtual controller.
