Is there any way to control H / W wdt (watchdog timer) with virtual machine.
I want to use the H / W wdt to control the NIC UP / DOWN signal of the physical machine.
For example, create a NIC control process and periodically send an UP signal
It is configured to be given DOWN signal intentionally, or to be DOWN if it can not transmit the signal
The NIC was set to passthrough in VM (guest os), but as I intended, NIC UP / DOWN control via wdt (watchdog timer) was not performed.
If ESXi is not possible, is there any other platform that can control H / W WDT?
For example vsphare is possible.
