Downgrading Essentials 6.5 to 6.0 - Licensing

Hi,

Scenario: Replacement hardware for old hardware with Production VMs running. VMs are incompatible with Esxi 6.5 due to software constraints. (backup and ilo)

Requirement: Purchase Essentials 6.5 and use 6.0

Question: If I purchase Essentials 6.5 and use the licensing key on already installed evaluation Esxi 6.0, would it recognise the license and let me keep using without any issue.

Yes. This is possible with a new purchase. I will try myself and update this.
