vmware server 2.0.2 - pam ldap auth faild

Hi all,

I've auth issue with vmware server 2.0.2 on linux ubuntu 10.04 LTS, using pam ldap.

First pam ldap auth works well to login to the linux system.

login to vmware console with an account set in system passwd file works too.

I update the /etc/vmware/pam.d/vmware-authd file like this :

#%PAM-1.0
auth       include      common-auth
account    include      common-account

But I get this message in /var/log/auth.log

Jan  3 14:05:16 vm /usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-hostd[2184]: pam_unix(vmware-authd:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost=  user=eatget

I'm sure that username and password are correct.

I try another /etc/vmware/pam.d/vmware-authd file :

auth    sufficient      pam_ldap.so
auth    required        pam_unix.so

account sufficient      pam_ldap.so
account required        pam_unix.so

But results are the same.

Any idea ?

Search around the web give me some ways but no success.

Best wishes for this new year.

Thank for help

Gilles
