anyone know where i can download 3.5 from , i have done google searches and no luck it beings me to esxi not the 3.5 though

Hi,

Do you have the License key for the VMware ESX 3.5?If yes, then you can request from Vmware website for the download link and from there you can download the iso image of ESX 3.5.

If you don't have the iso image of ESX 3.5, then you only have a option to download the vSphere ESXi free version to try out the Vmware features.

i was told being that i had a dell poweredge 4600 that i should use ESXi

but i wasnt aware that it wasnt free

Thanks, I'm try download several times an old version for testing purposes with no results, but this link work for me.

The image of the link was not patched and without critical patch to be compatible with Update Manager, I'm patched it (brute force) and works fine.
