I am attempting to load esx on a Dell Precision 340 with an LSI MPTBIOS-5.01.05. I have followed some links to the LSI site and see that a mptscsi_2xx 53c 1030 pci-x is listed. I have a 1020/1030 listed in the BIOS config utility, but unsure if they are the same animal. How to load necessary drivers during the installation. How do I get the installer to recognize my hardware?
