templates in 3i?

Hi,

We are current entreprise users running 3.0 with all the bells and whistles.

Currently in the process of rolling out a testing 3i server for our testing group. Will likely have 4-5 VM running windows, BSD and Fedora.

I'm trying to figure out how to create templates from the "master" VMs i've created on the 3i server, but i cant seem to find a clear answer. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Do you have virtual center? Templates in VI-3 are a feature of VC - and you will be able to use these templates to create vms on esx 3i

yes, We have VC installed and running for our entreprise stuff.

i've tried adding the 3i host, but it's not "adding" on, I keep getting errors. Is it just a matter of adding the host? What can be wrong?

That is it - all you will need to do is add the host - what errors do you get when trying to add your 3i host?

what version of VC are you using?

You need to have VC2.5 to manage the ESXi hosts.
