supermicro X7SBi-LN4 compatibility

I can't install esxi on supermicro x7sbi-ln4 (i think controller incompatibility)

Is it possible to install a patch? Will be possible install it in the future?

What sort of error are you getting during the install and what model of NIC / storage controller does the server have?

The error was: "Unable to find a device to write the image to"

Server: supermicro

model: x7sbi-ln4

this my configuration:

Intel® Xeon® 3210 con clock 2,13Ghz in LGA775 Package (FSB 1333/1066/800 MHz) Intel® 3210 +

ICH9R Chipset 4 GB unbuffered ECC DDR2 800/667 SDRAM

Intel® 82573V + Intel® 82573L PCI-E Gigabit Controllers

Built-in SATA ICH9R Controller - 6 x SATA (3 Gbps) Drive with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 Support

2 Hard disk Seagate Momentus 7200 rpm Sata capacità 320GB

1 (x8) PCI-Express, 1 (x4) PCI-Express, 2 64 bit 133MHz PCI-X, 2 64 bit 100MHz PCI-X

On board ATI ES1000 32MB Graphics

Raiser card 2 more gigaethernet

The driver that comes with ESXi for ICH controllers doesn't support RAID mode. Try changing the controller to IDE / SATA mode and see if the install can see the controller then.

it doesn't work.

I have tried also with an IDE disk but nothing.

Any other ideas?

If you try to install to an IDE drive, you need to modify the install. See the process here - www.vm-help.com. You might also want to get the PCI ids for the controllers and compare them with the hardware list on that site.
