shutdown or reboot

Hello

How can I shutdown or reboot ESX's server? Only by vCenter or mayby console ssh? I did try "shutdown -r now" but It not work:(

You should be able to shutdown via SSH as root - you can also point the VI client directly at yur ESX host and right click on the ESX Host name and you will havethe same options as VC - but I strongly recommend placing it in maintenance mode and then shutting it down through VC

Just use vCenter, enter Maintenance mode first and then reboot

I actually never use the command line to reboot. if I do: "reboot". Or I just do a "shutdown -h now" and power it up again.
