how to use part of the DISK for ESXi 3.5 install

Hi, I am doing a lab with ESXi 3.5, I cannot use the part of the disk to install. Can I do this and dual boot with another OS in the server

It's very messy and may screwed everything if done wrongly. I would suggest to install ESXi on the USB key and boot from there instead.
