Hi,
I have the follow problem.
One virtual machine
windows with two disks , the first with 30GB (Guest OS) and the second
with the data 150GB,I created about
12 snapshots, but the machine locked up and no more.
There locked
in suspend mode.
I tested the following KB
AND
but without success, I got the MSG " failed to open (The parent virtual
disk has been modified since the child was created" when i execute
vmkfstools - i.
the following information attached to each disc.
The
key would restore the disk 150GB
In attach follow VMX of virtual
machine and CID and parentCID of all disks.

I need some more informations:
... but the machine locked up and no more.
Can you please explain this?
What happened exactly? What did you do prior to this?
I need a file list of all the files in the VM's folder showing the names, sizes and time stamps.
In the vmx file I saw the base disks are attached to the VM? Did you try to boot the VM with the base disks attached?
And finally, do you have a current backup?
André
Hi
your info is a bit strange - why did you add blank files ?
such as
disk1-00011_VMDK.txt and
disk2-00014_VMDK.txt ?
I assume that the vmx is the misconfigured one ?
Anyway - I send edited vmdks and an edited vmx assuming I can reconstruct the most probable snapshot-chain.
If you have any older vmware.logs please send them so that I can doublecheck
