esxi- guest vm(Windows server 2008 with WDS) not allowing pxe boot

my esxi server has a guest os (windows server 2008) running WDS. I am not running DHCP on this server, it runs on a separate box.

I am having an issue when trying to pxe boot a laptop and it never recieves the pxe boot form teh WDS server. I have IP helpers in place to point my dhcp requets to the VM (WDS server) but it never takes it. Are there any know issues with esxi not allowing pxe bott to work for a guest os.

Thanks!

Okay, so you said that you're pointing your IP helpers at the VM, but the VM is not running a DHCP server? That's not going to work - the IP helpers on your network equipment need to point to the machine running the DHCP server. The DHCP server should then be configured to point the clients over to whichever box has the PXE information (I'm guessing your Win2k8 virtual machine).
