esxi and “vSphere Hypervisor”

Hello there

we installed esxi on our server but we have to install “vSphere Hypervisor” as free. Now we have sites on this server and i need to install “vSphere Hypervisor” but i cant stop services or websites. How can i do this?

Welcome to the Community,

the difference between ESXi and the Hypervisor is just the licence key. The binaries are the same. Unless you use any of the advanced features, you should be able to enter the free license key under "Licensed Features" in the host's "Configuration" tab in the vSphere Client.
