esx 3.5 management colsole

Hi,

I would like to configure the additional esx 3.5 managemenet console so that i can have the redudent management colsole for esx 3.5. I would like to have it because if one goes down i can work through my redudent one. Please let us know how can i configure the esx 3.5 management console for redudency

Management console is just a virtual machine, so you need to configure redundant access, not redundant consoles.

You can do it 2 ways:

- add new console interface

- add new physical interface to existsing console interface providing multiple physical paths.

I suggest you to choose second way. You can even add NIC used for VM Network as standby, so normally traffic from COS and VMs won't mix, but you'll still have COS connection if usual COS NIC fails.
