I have P2V one of the servers. The original size of the disk is 180 GB - vmdk. in Windows there are 2 partitions. supposly i delete one of the partitions can i use converter to shrink the disk?
any other advise?
it is C: - OS drive...
I would use the Converter tool and edit the settings to change the size of the disk. You can use the converter tool on the already converted machine. The source and destination can be the same Host but new name for the guest.

Best practice: use minimal size vmdk for OS and store all the data on another disk to avoid problems with disk resizing.

Anton,
As I mentioned I have converted the hardware server which already had a large disk. now i am trying to downsize it.
converter fails for some reason for now....
So you can create now vmdk's for system and data, replicate data from current disk to them.
If VMware Convereter fails that's the only way.
