HP recently released a new 'generation' - G6 - of it's proliant DL series servers. The DL 360 and 380 G6 servers come with gigabit NICs on the motherboard 'with TCP/IP Offload Engine, including support for Accelerated
iSCSI'. (see http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13234_na/13234_na.html ). Does this mean those NICs are like iSCSI HBAs, and if so, does VMWare ESXi support using them as iSCSI HBAs?
for iSCSI support on nic you need vmkernel thats it. if you dont have Hardware iSCSI.
It will support

The only iSCSI HBA's that I know of that work are QLogic 4010/4022. If they are not QLogic in the hp's, then they will work like regular NICs, and you will have to use the sw initiator from ESX.
