What is FAC Code in VMWARE

Please let me know what is meant by FAC Code in VMWARE

When you purchase VMware products,

you will receive an order confirmation email and a product licensing

email that contains a License Activation Code. One License Activation

Code contains all of the product licenses you purchased in a single

order. Generally, the License Activation Code has the following format:

FAC–XXXXX–XXXXX–XXXXX–XXXXX

Hi

vSphere licenses has changed. So now you recieve the actual license per mail and do not need to register the FAC code on vmware.com.

Just add it to vCenter and you can attach it to the server you want. Much easier compared to to the "old" way.

Lars, you still need FAC codes if you purchase VI before 30/6.

Ho problem Lars. I know that becuse in last two week i was fixing licensing issues for my customers. They didn't register their FACs under company acc so they didn't receive vSphere licence keys.
