Hi,
I have a Dell PowerEdge 2950 III which has ESXi 3.5 update 2 installed. I have 2 VMs on it, neither of which are running. This morning I tried to connect to the ESXi server through the VI client but I was unable to. I rebooted the server and I was able to get in.
Now while its running, it is logging warnings similar to this every 10 minutes:
Oct 24 12:01:26 vmkernel: 0:00:29:56.621 cpu5:1476)WARNING: UserThread: 406: Peer table full for sfcbd
Oct 24 12:01:26 vmkernel: 0:00:29:56.621 cpu5:1476)WARNING: World: vm 8066: 910: init fn user failed with: Out of resources!
Oct 24 12:01:26 vmkernel: 0:00:29:56.621 cpu5:1476)WARNING: World: vm 8066: 1775: WorldInit failed: trying to cleanup.
Does anybody know what could be causing this?
Thanks,
Finn
I have the exact same errors here on the exact same hardware - i see your post has languishing away in here a month and a half now.
I'm in the same sort of boat. I can't patch my 2900 (basically tower version of 2950 III) to the latest patch, it dies after two reboots.
I've tried installing just update 3, but the RCLI dies, and these errors are logged in the messages log.
any success yet?
Well I solved my problem.
Turns out I had a faulty Hypervisor memory stick.
DOH!
The nice shiny new one works fine.
Hi,
We are having similar problems on a dell poweredge 840. Is anyone able to confirm that this was / still is RAM related?
Thanks
