Vlan trunking problem with the intel quad vt nic

We currently have ESX 3.5 3i build 70348 installed on a Dell Poweredge 2950 with an intel quad vt nic. We are having problems with dropped backets when a port on the intel nic is put into a trunk connected to our cisco switch. The problem is documented in this thread:

I also notice that there is a fix for this problem documented here:

The above link says that the patch is for ESX 3.5. Is there a patch for ESX 3.5 3i?

Same patch should be available for 3i. Let's see if I can find it.

When I go to that link and do a search there appears to only be two patches that are currently out for 3.5 3i. Neither of them have the fix for our nic card.

The March patch does have the fix. It is an oversight in the release notes, they will be updated.
