Virtual Machine Streams Blocked By Firewalls?

Hello,

We are a product marketing company. We use ESXi to host the multiple Virtual Machines required. We are sometimes required to go to client sites to demonstrate the products. THe clients are usually held within a corporate network - some more locked down than others. A common occurence at the moment is that we are able to launch the ESXi platform to access the multiple VM's and connect to the internet from with their environment. WHat does not appear to work is when we view a console the screen is always black - as if the Virtual Machine stream is somehow blocked.

Does the Virtual Machines visual stream come travel through a specific port? If so, which port is this?

Has anyone else experienced such a situation?

Please let me know if you require further information into this.

Thank you.

Hi Depping,

Thank you for the very quick response. It looks like we have something to go on, so once validated I will hopefully be able to confirm again here.

Thanks again.
