VMware tools - memory management component?????

Hi,

I noticed in the VMware tools install, the memory management component isn't installed by default. We are using the free ESXi, (planned migration to VI3 soon). should this component be installed? Will there be much performance benifet? Any problems to be aware of?

If you use the default installation of VMware tools the balloon driver is installed as part of the default install - the benefit of vmware tools is it gives your eswxi server another tool to free up memory if memory is running out - In my opinion it should be installed because of this as well as it can be used to check to see if you are running out of memory -
