VMware ESX Version and Build #

Hi all,

Is there some kind of chart or list that shows all version and build # of ESX 3.5 and ESXi 3.5? I know that each time I run update manager and there is a firmware update, the build number changes, and I have to go to the download section of vmware.com to compare the build #. I am looking for a central place with details regarding each version and build #.

Also, aside from the VMware Commnities, is there any other popular third-party forum/support site?

besides going to and getting base build information, you can go to and get build numbers for patches.

Also from the ESX Console

esxupdate -l query

vmware -v

....and finally a great healthcheck script that will give you an overview of your enviornment
