VMs inaccessible after moving back to the data store

Hello again,

some hours ago I posted http://communities.vmware.com/message/1177687#1177687 .

To implement the solution I had to move all the VMs from the original data store to a secondary one so I could make a new filesystem with a bigger block size.

After moving back the VMs to their original filesystem I see them all marked as "inaccessible"... is there any way to recover them?? I'd be very bad if I had to reinstall them all from scratch... 😕

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Martin

On your ESXi management console, restart your management agents. You shouldn't have to reinstall any of them. If they still don't come back, you can right-click and remove from inventory, and then browse the datastore you put them on, find the vm folder, right-click the vmx file and add-to inventory
