VMotion fails at 90% with a general system error, failed to resume on destination message

Hi,

I have just added a new 3i host to a 3.5 cluster. All seemed to be working fine until I attempted to vmotion a vm to my new host.

It fails with "VMotion fails at 90% with a general system error, failed to resume on destination message"

Have looked at the following article

It appears I had originally forgot to enable VT in the bios. I have now enabled is, but still get the same error message.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is the VM that you are trying to vMotion a 65bit VM?

Anyway, have you seen this KB Article? Diagnosing a VMware VMotion failure at 90-95%

What storage are you using? You could try dropping the LUN from the ESX destination host and re-adding to see if that clears it. There are lots of other suggestions in this post here
