VI Client shows 95% starting a VM but the VM is already up

VI Client shows 95% starting a VM but the VM is already up and running and has so for a couple of days. Th VI client isn't refreshing or does the mgmt console need to be cycled/restarted?

Are you using Virtual Center? Have you tried to connect directly to the host?

If you are using VC, try restarting the mgmt-vmare service.

No virtual center. This is a standalone ESXi box.

if the VM is online and everything is working fine you may just need to restart the management agents on your ESXi host

...or simply closing the VIC and opening it again may make that recent task go away.

I have already resarted the VI client. Are you saying I need to restart the service console?
