VI Client - Connection Failure occurs, however port is open. Ideas?

Folks,

Every so often one of our ESXi 3.5 hosts loses VI client access with 'a connection failure occurred', however I can telnet to port 902 and pull a banner.

The guests appear unaffected and are running fine.

The only step that resolved this last time was a full reboot of the host. Restarting mgmt agents and network appeared to do nothing.

Ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

VI Client uses port 902 to connect to VM console, and 443 to manage ESX.

Take a look at networking diagram: http://www.flickr.com/photos/31838982@N08/3103670464/sizes/l/

Confirmed, 443 is not responding on the host in question. Another host responds fine on 443.

Is there an easy way to restart secure web services?

Very strange situation, restarting management agents should help.
