VDI thin client question (maybe off topic)

Hello

I known here is for ESX, but I don't know where to post VDI question.

1. What brand thin client are you using ? HP or IBM ?

2. Do VMware VDI support USB drive image boot for thin client if server or network down ?

Thanks !

There are a lot of thin client, not only this.

Be use to use client View 4 compliant.

Note that you can also use laptop or PC with the View client.

2. Do VMware VDI support USB drive image boot for thin client if server or network down ?

No.

You have to build your infrastructure for it.

Hello

1. Is the view manager included in VDI package?

2. Do you know how to use USB to boot up image?

3. How much ram required for 50 VDI clients, those 50 clients will be install Windows 7, Office 2007 and some common applications.

Thanks !

Yes. Note that it require at least another Windows Server (can be also a VM), cause you cannot put on the vCenter Server

2. Do you know how to use USB to boot up image?

For the thin client image, you have to check the thin client documentation.
