Hi all,
I've got ESX Server 3i 3.5 installed on IBM HS22 blade on Bladecenter E. The HS22 has 2 broadcom NetXtreeme II BCM5709 NICs. VC says that both NICs are down, but it can't be? Because I'm able to ping and in fact, I'm managing the host from VC, aren't I?
Is there just a GUI issue or I should be worried about it? Any work around?
Thank you.
Enable console access or SSH and check the output of this command:
esxcfg-nics -l
The system is in HCL? Maybe you need a firmware upgrade.
Andre

I think IBM HS22 Blade should be in HCL, isn't it? Because I got the ESXi3 3.5 already installed on a usbdisk inside the blade from IBM.

HCL change from 3.x to 4.0... so check it again.
You output its' ok... all vmnics are up in full mode 1Gb.
I do not know what's is this card:
